Electronic Peak Expiratory Flow (PEF) meter, more accurate than the mechanical devices (PocketPeak, etc.).
It also measures the FEV1, providing more reliable information than the PEF on the diameter of the smallest airways.
It gives a warning if the measurement has been performed incorrectly (expiration of less than 1.5 sec., cough, slow expiration).
Records the best measurement performed over the space of 3 min.
It uses a colour code to warn when your measurement is below normal (green= good; yellow = moderate episode; red = severe episode).
The last 96 measurements are stored in its memory and can be seen on its screen or downloaded to your PC and/or to your doctor's PC using an optional connector (not included); this will enable you to improve the monitoring and control of your asthma.
It uses 2 silver oxide batteries which have a life of 1 year.
