SinuSal-XL contains a mixture of chemically pure salts (sodium chloride, sodium bicarbonate, calcium chloride and potassium chloride), with no additives or preservatives, specially formulated to produce a Locke-Ringer solution for nasal and sinus irrigation with the Grossan System or RhinoDouche. SinuSal-XL also contains 10% xylitol; the anti-adherent action of the xylitol on the bacteria and fungi present on the nasal mucosa intensifies the flushing effect of the nasal irrigation on these micro-organisms. Its inhibitory properties on bacterial growth and its potentiation of defence mechanisms can help to control mucosal infections in the nose and sinuses.
